7OH Powder Guide: Purity, Measuring and Storage
The strongest and cheapest 7OH format – and the one with the least room for error. Here is how to handle extract powder properly.
What 7OH powder is
7OH powder is concentrated 7-hydroxymitragynine extract in dry powder form, with the alkaloid content expressed as a percentage of the total weight. Our 89% 7OH powder is 89% 7-hydroxymitragynine by weight. That is an extremely concentrated material, and it is why the difference between a properly measured serving and a careless one is measurable in a few milligrams.
Why powder exists
- Lowest cost per milligram. No pressing, no flavouring, no tablet count to pay for.
- Full control. You choose the exact amount, rather than accepting the strength the manufacturer picked.
- Flexibility. Useful for people who already know precisely what they need.
The trade-off is that the entire burden of accuracy moves from the manufacturer to you. With a tablet, the factory did the measuring. With powder, you do.
The scale is not optional
A calibrated 0.001g milligram scale is the single most important purchase anyone working with powder will make. Our milligram powder scale measures to one milligram, includes a calibration weight and a weighing scoop, and costs less than a single pouch of tablets. There is no version of handling 89% extract safely without one.
Measuring properly
- Place the scale on a flat, stable surface away from draughts, air conditioning and vents.
- Switch on and wait for a stable zero.
- Put your scoop or weighing paper on the platform and press Tare to zero it out.
- Add powder slowly – a few grains at a time as you approach your target.
- Read the value twice. Confirm it. Then use it.
- Clean the platform and wash your hands afterwards.
Never estimate a serving by eye, by scoop volume, or by “it looks about right”. With an 89% extract, a 5mg measuring error is a meaningful change in dose. Never use kitchen scales – they typically read to 1g, which is 1000mg of resolution, and are useless at this scale.
Storage: why we sell powder in separate jars
Powder degrades with exposure to air, moisture and light. Every time a large container is opened, everything inside is exposed. That is why our MIT powder bundle ships as separate sealed jars – you open one, use it, and the rest stays sealed and stable.
- Keep sealed between uses.
- Store dry, at room temperature, out of direct light.
- Do not store in the bathroom or anywhere humid.
- Keep it locked away from children and pets.
- Keep the batch number and packaging – you will need it for a COA request.
Purity percentages explained
A “70% 7OH powder” is 70% 7-hydroxymitragynine by weight. Higher percentages mean more alkaloid per gram of powder, which means a smaller amount of powder for the same alkaloid content. It does not automatically mean a better product. What matters is that the stated percentage is verified by an independent lab on the specific batch, and that the remaining percentage is a clean carrier rather than residual solvents or contaminants.
Ask for the COA. Ours are on the Lab Results page, matched to batch numbers.
Powder vs tablets – which is right for you?
| Choose powder if… | Choose tablets if… |
|---|---|
| You own and use a milligram scale | You want zero measuring |
| You want the lowest cost per milligram | You value consistency over price |
| You are experienced with concentrated extracts | You are newer to 7OH products |
| You are comfortable with the responsibility | You want the manufacturer to hold the accuracy |
