You will have noticed there is no expiry date printed on our pouches. That is not an oversight, and it is worth explaining why – because the calendar date is the least important variable.
Why there is no fixed expiry date
Shelf life depends on storage conditions far more than on the date of manufacture. A sealed pouch kept cool, dark and dry behaves very differently from the same pouch left on a sunny windowsill or in a hot car.
Printing a date would imply a precision that does not exist and would encourage people to ignore the conditions that actually matter.
What changes over time

The storage conditions that determine everything
- Moisture – the biggest factor. Keep it sealed and out of humid rooms.
- Heat – accelerates every degradation pathway. Never store in a car or next to an appliance.
- Light – UV in particular. Keep the original light-blocking packaging.
- Air – oxidation begins the moment a pouch is opened. Reseal every time.

How to tell if product has degraded
- Tablets have softened, crumbled or fused together
- Visible discolouration
- An altered or unusual smell
- The tablets no longer dissolve the way they did
- Any mould – discard the entire pouch immediately and do not use the product

Does this mean bulk buying is risky?
